Interview with Author Anna Tshekeche

Tsuro

Today I am interviewing author, Anna Tshekeche.  Thank you Anna for visiting with me and my followers.  It is a true pleasure to have you.  I would like to ask you some questions so that we can all learn more about you and your books.

1.  How long have you been writing and when did you get first published?
I have been writing for many years but my first book was published in May 2013.

2.  Please share the titles of your book with us.

The title of my book is Tsuro to the Rescue.

3.  Can you give us an idea what your story is about?

Nandi works from morning till night to provide for her family. Her husband Jojo chooses to spend his life daydreaming. Tsuro watches as Nandi tries to soothe her hot and tired baby. She decides to do something about this situation. She takes care of Nyasha while Jojo dozes off under the shade of a tree.

4.  Who illustrated your book?

My story was illustrated by Curtis King.

5. Do you have another book you are working on?

Old Order Changes is coming up soon.  This is a story of land degradation as seen through the eyes of Tasha the rabbit and Jim the monkey.  The story takes us from the beautiful scene of the wild forest to the barren land that we end up with after a few years of poor cultivation methods.

6.  Is there anything else that you would like to share about yourself and or your books?

I would like to say that these books will be written also in Shona and Ndebele, the two main languages spoken in Zimbabwe.

8.  Where can interested parents purchase your books?

Tsuro to the Rescue is on Amazon and is also available at

Thank you for the interview.
Yours truly,

Anna Tshekeche

Thank you Anna for taking the time to share your fascinating books with us.  I wish you well with your stories and may you keep writing to give children something wonderful to read.  Your stories teach children the value of treating their environment kindly to save it for future generations.

Parents please stop in to read about more interviews with authors.  I will be interviewing not only children’s book authors but also authors of some outstanding novels for you parents too.  We all need some good summer reading.

REMEMBER:  READING GIVES YOU WINGS TO FLY!
